Exhibition of Pacific Art in Paris - Guided Tour
Week of the 16th to 19th of February - Free visit from 11th of February to 2nd of March
Join us for a guided visit of 40 works of contemporary Pacific art. The exhibition has works by 15 artists, covering three generations from the most established such as Dame Robin White, Lisa Reihana MNZM, Brett Graham, Shane Cotton and John Pule, to mid-career artists such as Kelcy Taratoa and emerging artists as Cora-Allan Wickliffe. The exhibition is being co-organised by Christie's auction house [More HERE] and two NZ gallerists, Alison Bartley and John Gow – along with Contemporary HUM [More information about this group by clicking HERE].
Christie’s has agreed to take one group from the France New Zealand Association (max 15) on a guided visit of these 40 works – with the guide fluent in both French and English. If you are interested in joining us, please follow this link to select your preferred day and time from the small number of options provided, and leave your contact details so that we can organise the finer details with you directly. Click here to access the form.
The exhibition is at Christie’s auction house in Paris, from 11 February-1 March 2022, with an auction of all of the works taking place online over that period. Christie’s are at 9 Avenue Matignon, 4 minutes’ walk from Metro Franklin D. Roosevelt.
We will identify the date and time that works best for most people, so it is really important that you indicate whether you are available for more than one option. And if more than 15 of you are interested in seeing this exhibition with a guided visit of the works, I am happy to discuss the possibility of a second tour with Christie's.
If you are interested in being part of this guided visit, please respond by Wednesday 9 February. Susan Hitchiner, a member of our Board, will contact everybody who responds by Sunday 13 February to let you know the outcome.
This is a free exhibition that is open to the public so you are, of course, welcome to view it at any time that suits you.
